About Chris Lynch

On The Lynch blog, I explore the intersection of media, business, technology and all the things that interest me. For my day job, I’m the Director of Product Marketing at Badgeville,* the leading gamification and behavior platform that helps companies improve engagement and loyalty among their customers & employees.

Prior to Badgeville, I worked in marketing in the enterprise social networking space. In 2011, I ran product marketing for tibbr, TIBCO’s enterprise social networking platform. From 2009 through 2011, I worked at Socialtext, the first enterprise social software (Enterprise 2.0) company.

From 2005-2009, I wrote for CIO magazine under the handle C.G. Lynch. I focused on social and web-based technologies, and covered Google, Facebook, Twitter and a bunch of start-ups in Silicon Valley and San Francisco.

Originally from New England, I live happily in San Francisco. When I’m not working, I like to run, read, write creatively and watch New England sports.

*As it concerns Badgeville’s facet of the technology industry, I will write with an inherent bias, though the views here don’t necessarily reflect that of my employer.
